How to find a doctor who accepts Medicare and Tricare for Life
Many veterans are looking for a doctor in private practice because of the changes in the military medical centers. There are several options available but vary from state to state. Veterans can stay with original Medicare Part A and B or choose a zero premium Medicare Part C plan offered from companies like UnitedHealthcare and Humana, which are designed for veterans.
Medicare Part C plans, also called Medicare advantage plans, are required to provide the benefits as Medicare Part A and B but can also include hearing, vision, dental and Silversneakers gym membership. Clients with Tricare for Life should enroll in a Medicare Part C plan WITHOUT drug coverage because they already have great drug coverage with Express scripts. TFL stays secondary and still covers copays.
My name is Steve Schrader, I work with veterans, in the green states above, understand their options. Call or email me anytime.
