Blue Sky Medicare offers UnitedHealthcare Medicare Supplement Plan F to residents of Arizona. You must have Medicare Part A and B to enroll in a Medigap Plan F which covers all of your deductibles and co-insurance that Medicare doesn’t cover, but does NOT cover Part D drug coverage. Medigap Plan F is the most popular Plan in the country, and the easiest to explain because it pays 100% of what Medicare doesn’t pay.
Another option is Plan N which is similar to Plan F but doesn’t cover Part B deductible of $198 and can have a co-pay of up to $20 for doctors visits. For someone age 65 in Arizona, Plan N is about $500 less premium per year than a Plan F.
Most insurance companies that issue Medigap plans have male and female rates, UnitedHealthcare uses unisex rates so male and female are the same premium and also gives a 5% discount for households that have two members on the plan. Here are the current monthly rates in Arizona for age 65 non tobacco effective April 1, 2019 or later.
UnitedHealthcare is the largest insurer of Medicare Supplement Plans in the country which provides you very competitive and STABLE rates. You can switch Medigap policies at anytime of the year.
